Preliminary Round

Before the competition, an initial preliminary round was run to determine the allocation of the players to the two groups. For this, the participants were expected to let their player run for two weeks in the round-robin tournament of Dresden's GGP server. All players not participating were distributed randomly.
Of the nine participants, six ran during the two weeks, one of them only for very few matches and none of those without errors, which is why this one was also distributed randomly.

Taking the results of the preliminary round we came up with the following distribution of the nine players into the two groups:

The Turk later withdrew from the competition, so that actually two groups with four players each ran the heats.
